Izvršni direktor kompanije Tesla Elon Musk rekao je u petak da za električne automobile Model 3 ima već više od pola miliona rezervacija nakon što je prvih 30 isporučio zaposlenima kompanije.
Ovo je najveći ispit za strategiju kompanije koji će pokazati hoće li biti profitabilni proizvođač automobila za masovno tržište.
Ispred kompanije Tesla u Frimontu, u Kaliforniji, Musk je pokazao vozilo vredno 35.000 američkih dolara koje s jednim punjenjem može preći 350 kilometara. Kompanija je ranije proizvodila samo luksuzne električne automobile.
Automobil s većim rasponom kretanja košta 44.000 američkih dolara, a s jednim punjenjem može preći 500 kilometara.
Umesto komandne ploče, automobil ima ekran na dodir desno od vozača.
Kompanija je obećala da će proizvesti 500.000 vozila sledeće godine što je gotovo šest puta više od proizvodnje u 2016.

Kompanija Tesla je napokon počela proizvodnju dugo očekivanog cenovno pristupačnog električnog automobila Model 3 i krenula je s prvim isporukama.
Tesla je isporučio prvih 30 modela kupcima, od kojih su svi zaposleni u ovoj kompaniji, a to se dogodilo na zabavi u petak uveče.
Elon Musk je rekao da će kompanija proizvoditi automobile najbrže što može, ali je priznao da će problem s dobavljačima i druge komplikacije otežati kompanijin put do cilja, koji se odnosi na proizvodnju 500.000 automobila sledeće godine.
Početna cena Modela 3 iznosi 35.000 dolara, a domet s jednim punjenjem baterije iznosi do 500 km.
