Žiri izbora za Svetski automobil godine 2018 (World Car of the Year 2018) je saopštio finaliste ovogodišnjeg izbora.

Dakle, finalisti su Mazda CX-5, Range Rover Velar i Volvo XC60, a pobednik će biti proglašen 28. marta, na sajmu automobila u Njujorku.

Raniji pobednici u izboru World Car of the Year su bili: Jaguar F-Pace (2017), Mazda MX-5 (2016), Mercedes-Benz C klasa (2015), Audi A3 (2014), Volkswagen Golf (2013), Volkswagen Up! (2012), Nissan Leaf (2011), Volkswagen Polo (2010), Volkswagen Golf (2009), Mazda2 / Mazda Demio (2008), Lexus LS460 (2007), BMW Serije 3 (2006) i Audi A6 (2005).

Isti međunarodni žiri (od 82 člana), koji bira Svetski automobil godine 2018, dodeljuje nagrade u još nekoliko kategorija: World Urban Car of the Year, World Luxury Car of the Year, World Performance Car of the Year, World Green Car of the Year i World Car Design of the Year.
