Nakon što je BMW promovisao novu Seriju 4 Coupe, ostaje nam da sačekamo i druge karoserijske verzije. Prošlog meseca je tako predstavljena Serija 4 Cabrio (na sajmovima u Tokiju i Los Anđelesu), a nedavno se pojavio i serijski M4 Coupe.

Novi član porodice "četvorke" će biti i Gran Coupe, a kako će taj automobil izgledati pokazuju ovi procureli crteži iz patentnog ureda.

BMW Serije 4 Gran Coupe (interne oznake F36) će se u prodaji pojaviti u junu 2014. godine (premijera u martu na sajmu u Ženevi), a nastavlja sa idejom Serije 6 Gran Coupe, samo u manjem pakovanju.

Serija 4 Gran Coupe će imati duže međuosovinsko rastojanje od Coupea, a nudiće više mesta za putnike na zadnjim sedištima.

Po sadašnjim informacijama Serija 4 Gran Coupe će se kupcima nuditi u sledećim verzijama: 420i, 420d, 428i i 435i (Amerikancima će biti dostupne samo 428i i 435i varijante).

Takođe, tokom 2015. godine možemo očekivati i sportski M4 Gran Coupe.

Trojka, pa skinu par vrata 4-ka, pa vrate par vrata i 4gc.
Uz narusenu formu, lici na A5 sportback i pomalo na familijarne GT modele.
3-ka, 4-ka ili 5-ca, za sve vidim logiku, ali za ovo ne.
Pogotovo ako cenom bude blizu 5-ce, tek onda nema logike kupiti ga.

BMW 6 Gran Coupe je bio pun pogodak, ali ovo je vec upitno. Ne svidja mi se onaj prozorcic iza zadnjih vrata koji je tipican za Audi modele i nikako ne pristaje dizajnu BMW-a.

Sorry for the ensuing rant, but I think this is something that needs to be said.

This car is what makes BMW the car company it is. Several of us see the new BMW's being released and think to themselves "BMW has lost its way". Several people here have asked "why build this car?" The answer is simple: this is how BMW survives in the current automotive marketplace.

BMW is a relatively small auto manufacturer, yet consistently has one of, if not the highest profit margins in the auto world. This is a car company that in essence survives on three platforms, across three different brands. In the US, GM has more than three platforms in use in just their Cadillac division! Think of the engineering costs associated with that for a minute.

Costs:

Now, why the 4GC? Think about the actual cost of development. I don't have any direct knowledge on this, but I would estimate that the total cost to develop this car was about 1-2% of the cost to develop the 3-series. Why so little? Simply because most of the cost to develop this car was carried by the 3-series, with almost all of the balance carried by the 4-series. The rest of the cost, whether it be the hatch system or just the lengthening of the doors are where the new costs lie. BMW can sell a car at a premium price compared to other cars on the same platform, for a minimal investment in development. This car practically pays off its development costs within days/weeks of being released.

Market:

I hate to break it to traditionalists, but this car isn't meant for the US or European markets. Notice where the images came from. This car is meant for the Asian (read: Chinese) market. The US and Europe will see this car because it costs BMW next to nothing to bring it here. If a shopper doesn't like it, they won't select it. However, this car does open up the 4-series market to the Chinese, which have been shown to prefer 4-door models over 2-door models. It's a status-symbol to have a 4-door car, and if BMW can make money selling almost the exact same car for a $5,000 premium, why the hell not? The US and European markets are saturated and stagnant. 2-4% growth in these markets is nice, but double-digit growth in China, rated the #1 consumer-driven market in 2013, is where the money is.

BMW can follow one of three paths in the marketplace: lead, follow or get out of the way. When you follow, you become GM/Chrysler - bankrupt of money and ideas. When you lead, you get the results BMW is getting. I, for one, am glad they're making this car. Will I buy it? No. I want an M3 next. However, without 1,000's of 4GC's, and 5GT's and X5's and X3's (read: non-traditional BMW vehicles that have been lambasted by "traditionalists"), there wouldn't be an F80 or F82/83, either because BMW couldn't bring the car to market, or for worse reasons.

Eto onda nek naprave 1GC, 2GC, 3GC, 4GC, 5GC, 7GC, 8GC, 9GC, X5 GC, X3 GC, X6GC, X7GC, Z4 GC itd.

Komercijala najobicnija. Ako hoce da se ''stilski izraze'' onda nek 3ica izgleda kao 4GC i to je to, a ne da prave novi model sa novim imenom.

vrlo zanimljivo!

dobre su fotke sa linkova tome i bs8. tek posle fotografija moze da se gleda objektivno crtez - koji na prvu ruku cini nepravdu.

kad uporedim sa 3gt, zadnji kraj mu je pomalo isturen kao da naznacuje visu klasu. ne smeta, ali ipak za mvrvu manje skladan od 3 i 3gt (licno misljenje).

sve zajdeno prolazi i njuska zaista opaka. ona ce prodati "model" i u evropi i u sad.

sve u svemu lepa kolica, a sto rece bs8: da li bi ih kupio? nope, me neither ;)

Izgleda odlicno, jedan od mojih favorita kod BMW-a! To kazem na osnovu spijunskih fotografija koje sam video na netu, jer ovde nije ispao nesto... A5 ili 4GC - slatke muke za onog ko ima para, ali i ja da imam ne znam za koji bi se pre odlucio...

Мислим да ће бити најјатрактивнија тројка. Тројка под наводницима. Требаће ми мало времена да се навикнем... :)

da su ga napravili sa 4 vrata, kukali bi "isti 6gc samo umanjen", sada nije isti kao 6GC vec je malo drugaciji i odma "eh da su ga napravili kao 6gc, bio bi idealan". Znaju oni dobro sta rade. Retko omanu. A i svidja mi se ideja da svaki GC ima nesto svoje. A ovo je verovatno prvi auto sa 5 vrata koji zapravo ima liniju kupea.

Ovaj bi u stvari trebao da se zove GTC. : )
Izmedju GT i GC modela.
Moram da priznam da je 6GC lepsi, ali im fali individualnosti kao sto je ima CLS.
Nadam se da Mercedes nece izbaciti ovako nesto i kao A5 sportback, vec CLC, tj "srednji" CLS na bazi C klase.
CLS ima, CLA, samo jos CLC da upotpune ponudu. A ovako nesto im ne treba, onaj sportkupe sto su najavili.

Опасно ме занима како су решили отварање петих врата. Пун погодак би био двостепено, попут 5гт...

Сви ће све да праве, само полако. Провалили су фору. Направе модуларну платформу, шире је, скупљају, продужују, крате и само додају на њу шта год закључе да може да им намакне још који додатни еврић профита.
